How to root your Android- The easy way

Android is the most developer friendly mobile operating system in the World right now. Giving a stiff competition to its rival, apple. It has come a long way and is still setting high standards with its upcoming versions.

One of the features that sets Android apart is that it provides an Open Source Development Platform that is free of cost. You can customize your Android device the way you want, but to achieve that you'll need to root your Android.

Rooting is a process that provides you access to the core files on your Android. Rooting can be compared to jailbreaking on iPhone. But rooting is not as easy as it sounds, many procedures are available for you to follow. Always make sure to back up the files on your device before following any such procedure coz you might end up with a dead phone after the procedure, so be careful!

In this process I'll make use if SuperOneClick, an easy to use software that helps in rooting almost any Android device out there.

To download SuperOneClick- CLICK HERE!

STEP 1) Install the USB drivers:-

Make sure you have the USB drivers of your device installed on your PC. In case you don't have them, search for the drivers in the CD that you get along with your device or you can even search for them on the web.

STEP 3) Rooting Process:-
Once the USB drivers are installed and SuperOneClick is downloaded, follow the steps given below:-

1) Connect your Android to the PC via the USB cable. If your phone is detected that means the drivers are properly installed.
2) On your device, open Settings->Applications-> Development -> Put a tick mark on USB debugging.
3) Now open "SuperOneClick.exe" file in the SuperOneClick .zip folder. You'll get something like this:-

4) Click on "Root" tab. A process will take place (as shown in pic below).

5) After a while, when all the processes are completed, a message will be displayed on SuperOneClick saying "your phone is rooted".

6)  You can download Root explorer, Root browser or any similar app from the Google Play Store to explore the core files of your device.

Once rooting is complete, you can flash custom ROMs into your device , add some unique effects and customize the phone according to your requirements! So enjoy the freedom. :-)
